This is a big goal, but immensely feasible with your help. Szekit’s and Verity’s achievements have touched the hearts of millions throughout the world through international press coverage and Verity has become an ambassador for advocating the ‘ability in disability’.
But no path is ever smooth and in March this year Szekit, her beloved equine partner, became sick whilst Verity was training in London with her new guidedog (Luna). Szekit will never work again.
Determined to create something positive Verity has formed a charity ‘Equipe Verity’ in which Szekit will become an equitherapy horse for disabled children.
Verity’s passion for her sport and her determination to continue to achieve the excellence that she and Szekit have already demonstrated, means that she is forging ahead.
She has found a new champion Daizy, a beautiful 10 year old Hanoverian mare, who is presently competing at Prix St George, Inter 1 and training at Grand Prix level. She has the temperament and talent to bring home a gold for France and to continue Szekit's legacy.
We are asking for your support to help Verity achieve a first in Olympic history. Our aim is to raise €200,000 for the purchase of the amazing horse Daizy and for the journey that will carry Verity and Daizy to the podium at the Tokyo and Paris Olympics. Your help will make all the difference.
